Snow Days ROCK!

I made this card awhile ago, but I felt guilty about posting it as it has been a very long snowy winter back home in Massachusetts.  I used two of my favorite techniques of Copics and paper piecing to make this card.  While I like all of my cards, this one is definitely one of my favorites.

Supplies:
Stamps:  My Favorite Things-Snow Days ROCK
Ink:  Versafine, Memento
Paper:  Pebbles, Neenah, Bazzill
Misc:  Copics, Sizzix snowflakes die, button, baker's twine, glitter pen,
pop up dots, diamond glaze

Happy Mother's Day!!

Happy Mother's Day!

Here is another fun and exciting folded card that I tried out.  I've done side step cards before, but this time I decided to go big!  I found this tutorial on Pinterest.

My sister and I went to the Scrapbook Expo a few ago and I picked up a few new Paper Nest Stamps.   This one is Cupcake Avery.  I colored her with Copic markers.  The flowers and the heart border were cut with Papertrey Ink dies.

Stamps:  Paper Nest-Cupcake Avery and Stampendous-Happy Mother's Day
Ink:  Versafine and Momento
Paper:   Recollections, Bazzill, Bo Bunny

Mother's Day Z-Fold Card

Mother's Day is just a few days away and I've been working on learning new techniques to make cards more exciting.  This is my first attempt at a Z-Fold card.  I used this card as my inspiration.

There is a lot of cutting in this card.  I used a variety of dies to cut the flowers, leaves, clouds, and the grass.  Additionally, I used my Cricut to cut the tulips.  There are lots of pop up dots, buttons, and diamond glaze to add dimension.

Supplies:
Stamps:  Papertrey Ink-Blooming Button Bits
Ink:  Versafine, Versamark, Stamps by Judith, Momento
Paper:  My Favorite Things, Jillibean Designs, Bazzill, The Paper Studio, Echo Park

Petite Places Berry Baskets

I decided to work on some Mother's Day gifts today.  I'm really trying to use up stuff I already have and not go buy more.  So, I was able to use berry baskets, plastic ornaments and some of my favorite dies from Papertrey Ink and My Favorite Things.

I actually remembered to take a picture, before I glued the top on!  All I did was just die cut a lot of little pieces and make a pretty spring house.  This is actually the School House Petite Places die, I just omitted the front part.

I always have to make more than one!

Supplies:
Stamps:  Papertrey Ink-Blooming Button Bits
Ink:  Versafine
Paper:  The Paper Studio, Recollections, Bazzill
Dies:  Papertrey Ink-Petite Places Trees & Schoolhouse
My Favorite Things-Mini Doilies and Bows
Misc:  Plastic ornaments, berry baskets, paper punches, white gel pen, Nestabilities

Happy Easter!

The Easter Bunny made a stop at work this week.  Tiny buckets filled with candy topped off with a pretty pencil and chenille bunny surprised the team.  A Bunny Kiss and a few Nugget Bunnies rounded out a great treat.

I hope you have a Happy and Fun Easter!

Bunny Kisses

The Easter Bunny is coming!!  Here is a quick and easy project that will surely put a smile on everyone's face.  These are perfect for co-workers, place setting markers for your dinner table and great basket stuffers.

I used the Impression Obsession Die 043-G to cut the bunnies.  I cut two bunnies for each kiss.

First, I cut a toothpick in half and then using a white craft glue, I sandwiched the toothpick inbetween two of the bunnies.  To give the bunnies a little color, I used my Cricut to cut out some bows, but you could use ribbon or even little flowers.  To finish them off, I stuck them into the top of the Hershey Kiss and viola...they are done!

I almost forgot, don't you forget to add a fluffy bunny tail using a small pom pom!

Supplies:
Paper:  Authentique, The Paper Studio
Misc:  IO Die 043-G, Hershey Kisses, toothpicks, Cricut, white craft glue, mini pom poms

More Bunnies!

I absolutely love Dandelion Designs stamps.  They are the cutest images and they are super easy to color and/or paper piece.

The card base was made using Nestabilites.  I attached the different patterned papers with pop up dots to the back of the card base.  Then, I used a few more pop up dots to add my images.  I couldn't decide which sentiment to use from the Hippity Hoppity Papertrey Ink set, so I used three of them!

Supplies:
Stamps:  Dandelion Designs-Bunnies and Eggs, Papertrey Ink-Hippity Hoppity
Ink:  Versfine and Momento
Paper:  Authentique, Queen's Scene, Bazzill, The Paper Studio
Misc:  Buttons, pop up dots, Nestabilities, Copics, Diamond Glaze

Three Sweet Bunnies!

I saw this super cute card on Pinterest.  I really wanted to make it, but I didn't have the die.  Unfortunately, the shipping was more than the actual cost of the die, so I decided to improvise.  After scouring different SVG cuts online, I found this cute bunny and decided he would work.

Supplies:
Paper:  Authentique, Bazzill, Recolledtions
Stamps:  Papertrey Ink-Scrambled Eggs
Ink:  Versafine
Misc:  Cricut, bow dies, pop up dots, SVG cut file

My First Box Card

This card has taken me forever!  I can't tell you how many times I have taken it apart and remade it.   It's literally taken me a month, but I think I 'm finally satisfied with the finished product.

I decided to go with a Harry Potter theme.  It's made entirely from varies cut files with my Cricut.  For the actual box, I used my Scor Pal.  The actual box part was pretty easy, I just followed along with tutorial on Splitcoaststampers.  You can find it here.

I've Moved to Facebook!

I can't believe it's been so long since I posted.  A lot has been happening.  I've still been crafting, but not as much and I haven't posted anything.  My New Year's resolution is to get posting on a regular basis again.  I decided to also post on Facebook to see if I can get a little more exposure and foot traffic.  So, I hope you will pop over and like/follow my page:

Hershey Kiss Turkey

This was a little treat that I made to decorate my sister's Thanksgiving table.   Once again I used my Cricut to cut the little turkey out.  The body and the feathers are two separate pieces.  I sandwiched a toothpick between them and then adhered them together with pop up dots.  The toothpick was trimmed down and then I stuck it into the Hershey Kiss.  They were pretty simple to make and were a big hit!

Supplies:
Paper:  Bazzill, Recollections, Echo Park
Ink:  Stamps by Judith, Heidi Swapp
Misc:  Toothpicks, pop up dots, Cricut, Hershey Kisses

Take Out Santa

Time sure has a way of slipping by, really fast!  Besides working, I've had two craft fairs and just came back from spending a week with my Dad in Massachusetts.  I have been working non stop on my crafty adventures, yet didn't take photos  of every thing.  I did take some, and I just edited them all, so I'm going to start posting.  There are few goodies left from Halloween and Thanksgiving that will be sprinkled in with the Christmas crafts.

A few years back, after Halloween, I bought a whole bunch of take out boxes that where on clearance for 90% off.  I really just wanted the handles so that I could make different boxes.  I finally got around to making them and thought they would be perfect to pack a small Christmas gift or baked good.

Using some paper punches, Nestabilities, and my handy dandy Cricut Explore, I was able to make the face for my Santa.  I absolutely love the Cricut Explore, the possibilities are endless!  For added dimension, I used an embossing folder, textured paper, and my favorite pop up dots.  I tied the candy canes to the top with a piece of baker's twine to make it look like chop sticks on top of Chinese food take-out.

Supplies:
Paper:  Bazzill, Recollections
Ink:  Versacolor
Misc:  Candy canes, baker's twine, paper punches, white gel pen, Cricut, Stickles, My Favorite Things Scalloped Border Die-Namics, Cuttlebug Swirls Embossing Folder, take out box handle

My First Paper Cake

My niece, Jennifer, was having a Halloween themed bridal shower for her best friend.  I've always wanted to make a paper cake, so this was the perfect opportunity.  I had some extra spiders that I thought would be perfect crawling over the cake.

The stand was made using a charger and simple candlestick holder that I bought at Michaels.

I used my Cricut to cut out two different size cake boxes.  The paper roses where made using the My Favorite Things Mini Rolled Roses Die-Namics.  The leaves where also cut with the my Cricut.  The little skulls where from a necklace that I also picked up at Michaels.  I just cut the necklace apart and then glued the little skulls on top.  Then I added a white doily to the top, so that the spider could stand on top of the cake.

I added a few extra spiders to crawl up the sides of the cake for a spooky effect.  Each piece of cake is filled with candy, my favorite part of the cake!

Supplies:
Paper:  Recollections, Bazzill
Misc:  Cricut, My Favorite Things Mini Rolled Roses Die-Namics, beaded spiders, mini skulls, white doily, charger, candlestick, candy
